Manuel de Juan EspinosaDr. Manuel de Juan Espinosa- Welcome Address

Dr. Espinosa is a full Professor of Psychology and Director of the Institute of Forensic and Security Sciences at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and Co-director of a Master Degree in Forensic Sciences. He has been a consultant of the Ministry of Interior between 2007-2015. He has participated in many national an European projects in the field of intelligence, personality and criminal profiling. He has authored more than 100 papers, books and chapters in the aforementioned fields. He has been awarded by the General Direction of Guardia Civil (2009), Penitentiary  National Institution (2011) and Policía Nacional (2015).


Picture - Carrobles2Dr. Jose Antonio Carrobles – Keynote Address – Biofeedback, Methodology and Clinical Applications

Dr. Carrobles holds a degree and PhD in Psychology. He is a Professor Emeritus and Professor of Clinical Psychology and Health at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). He was Director of the Department of Biological Psychology and Health and Head-Coordinator of the Official Master programs and PhD in Clinical Psychology and Health at UAM. He is currently the Director-Coordinator of Research Group recognized the UAM: Abuse and violence in the interpersonal relationships (PS-022). His work has focused on the areas of Psychopathology and Clinical Psychology and health; sexual disorders – couple and family; drug addiction; chronic health problems (AIDS); abuse and psychological violence  in young people, couples, families and manipulative sects.

He has been President and currently is Past-President of the European Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Therapies (EABCT). He has directed a large number of PhD theses (32) and is author of a large number and variety of articles and books on his area of expertise. He has given, also, a considerable number of lectures on their areas of specialization and has organized and participated in numerous national and international congresses of psychology, most notably his involvement as Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the  “23rd International Congress of Applied Psychology”.

He is a member of numerous scientific and professional associations and the Editorial Board of several national and international journals.

MayerDr. rer. nat. Kerstin Mayer – Research and Clinical Application of Slow Cortical Potential Neurofeedback

Dr. Kerstin Mayer’s area of interest is neurofeedback of slow cortical potentials with a focus on ADHD. She is investigating the behavioral benefit as well as neurophysiological changes following neurofeedback and other neuromodulation techniques like tDCS and rTMS.

Dr. Mayer completed her doctoral and post-doc studies at the Institute of Medical Psychology and Behavioral Neurobiology, University Tübingen. She received her Bachelor in Psychology and Master in Psychology at the University of Bochum and later held teaching positions at both universities. Dr. Mayer has co-authored numerous articles that have been published in a variety of international journals. She is currently the Head of Education EMEA at neuroCare Group in Munich, Germany.
