General Introduction to Biofeedback Peripherals

1-day Workshop – June 8, 2016

This 1-day workshop is for researchers and health professionals who want to learn how to use the latest “cutting edge” biofeedback technology. The morning session provides a general overview of the key features of biofeedback peripherals using the BioGraph Infiniti 6.0 software and hardware. Software suites that can be showcased include Neurofeedback, Slow Cortical Potential (SCP), Physiology, Rehab- Muscle, and HRV.

The afternoon session, participants will have an “hands-on” experience using Surface Electromyography (SEMG), Respiration, Temperature, Skin Conductance, Electroencephalography (EEG), SCP, Heart Rate and Electrocardiology (EKG) with audio and visual multimedia biofeedback screens.

About Frank DeGregorio

Picture - Frank DeGregorioFrank DeGregorio has a Diplome d’Etudes Collegiales (DEC) in Computer Science and Networking and a Certificate as a Programming Analyst. He has over 20 years of experience as technical, network, computer and high-level troubleshooting for Thought Technology.  In addition, he has over 13 years of experience teaching BioGraph workshops with Lynda Thompson, Ph.D. and had the opportunity to attend a wide variety of workshops held by clinicians such as Dr. Barry Sterman, Dr. Tanju Surmeli, Dr. Don Moss and Dr. Richard Gevirtz, Dr. Erik Peper and Dr. Vietta Sue Wilson. Frank’s extensive knowledge of all the product software and hardware offered by Thought Technology gives him the unique ability to take participants from installation of the software to using it effectively.

About Psic.Npf. Víctor David Arroyo Guillén

Visiting prBio - Arroyo pictureofessor, guest speaker and lecturer with extensive professional and teaching experience in institutions of great national (mexican) and international prestige of the hospital, educational, academic, private and government enviroments on topics of Clinical, Medical and Health Psychology, Clinical Process in Health Sciences, Psychotherapy and Neuroscience (Applied Neuropsychophysiology – Biofeedback/Neurofeedback).

Founding member and current member of the board of directors of the Mexican Society of Bio and Neurofeedback (SMBN). Co-author of the book: “Quantitive EEG as a Diagnostic and Therapeutical Tool: Neurofeedback” published in Spanish by the SMBN and the University of Guanajuato (Mexico). He is a full member of the Mexican Society of Psychology.

Dr. Arroyo Guillén performs specialized practice, both private and institutional (clinical interconsultation and teaching activities) at StarMédica Centro Hospital (Mexico City) where he is in charge of the Clinical, Medical and Health Psychology and Applied Neuropsychophysiology services. He currently also serves as Chairman of the Medical Bioethics Committee of that institution.

Has been appointed private expert witness in various family and criminal court cases in Mexico.

Since 2015 he has been named instructor of the “Learn from the Best” program of the Biofeedback Federation of Europe.
