DR. SWINGLE'S NEUROTHERAPEUTIC TREATMENT OF ADDICTIONS WEBINAR RECORDING
This 1-hour webinar recording focused on the discussion of treatment of addictions such as alcoholism, drug use and internet addiction. Addiction was examined from the perspective of brain activity, as evaluated by the ClinicalQ assessment method and treated using neurotherapy. Dr Swingle's presentation took into consideration the generalizations that lead to self-medicating behavior: brain neurology, distraction from unhappy environmental conditions, emotional sedation, uppers & downers, and pleasure versus pain. When it comes to addictions, it is important to keep in mind other conditions that lead to addiction, such as untreated ADD or depression, due to the disorder's co-morbidities.

The World Health Organization estimates 120 million people worldwide are currently living with some form of depression. In this one hour webinar, Lindsay Hollmuller MS, LPC, BCN discusses these staggering numbers, as well as research that suggests a neurophysiological basis for depression. Through the use of quantitative encephalographic analysis (QEEG), Lindsay demonstrates how retraining the brain through neurofeedback can assist in modifying brain wave patterns associated with depression.
This webinar recording is best suited for novice or intermediate-level neurofeedback practitioners.
