INTRODUCTION TO Z-SCORE
NEUROFEEDBACK
WEBINAR RECORDING
Presenter: Ingrid Valentin
There is a growing interest for Z-score practices in neurofeedback clinics and research. Practitioners as well as clients need to understand what this actually means. If training towards a z-score is not training you “to become average”, what is it then? In this webinar you will learn some basic statistics, implications of z-score for therapeutic and peak performance applications, as well as the benefits and contra-indications of z-score neurofeedback training. All of this is illustrated with practical cases. This webinar is at a basic to intermediate level and open to clinicians, therapists and (potential) clients.
Learning Objectives
1. Explain what a Z-score is and how it relates to an average
2. Understand the need for Z-score in personalised neurofeedback
3. Understand the difference between non-significant Z-score and being average
4. Learn about a few Z-score neurofeedback methods
All views expressed in the recording are solely those of the presenters and participants.
