INTERPERSONAL BIOFEEDBACK: A HYBRID OF COUPLES COUNSELING AND BIOFEEDBACK WEBINAR RECORDING
Presenter: Steven C. Kassel, MFT
Biofeedback has almost 50 years of research and clinical application while Marital Counseling has many more years and a higher usage rate. Research on both fields as a hybrid is minimal and recent advances have made the study of Interpersonal Biofeedback more accessible. Clinical usage of Interpersonal Biofeedback has been reported to have success by this presenter and others. The goal of this presentation is to educate participants in this unique and promising new form of treatment. Participants will review actual cases of husband and wife in which audio and video, along with 5 channels of physiology (hand temperature, sweat gland activity, respiration rate, heart rate and heart rate variability) is used to help couples learn to self-regulate physiology to enhance marital satisfaction.
All views expressed in the recording are solely those of the presenters and participants.
