HEMOENCEPHALOGRAPHY (HEG) ONLINE CLASS RECORDING
This class provides an introduction to hemoencephalography (HEG), in both theory and practical use, by the co-creator of the BFE's HEG Suite: Elizabeth Tegan, MS, RN, CS, BCN. HEG biofeedback is a method to self-regulate regional brain activity by monitoring changes in regional cerebral blood circulation and oxygenation. This class is for beginner or experienced neurofeedback practitioners that are interested in learning more about HEG biofeedback. The breakdown of material is:
Lesson 1 - Review theory of HEG [both passive-infrared (pIR) and near-infrared(nIR)], including Jeff Carmen's perspective on pIR HEG; review of client examples from Elizabeth Tegan's practice, using pIR HEG and slow cortical potentials.
Lesson 2 - Record a live pIR HEG session, learn how to correctly set software parameters for training and interpret results; review how to train a subject.
Lesson 3 - Review class participant experiences recording pIR HEG data with subjects; guided screen editing to alter the Thought Technology's HEG Suite to be better suited for training.
Lesson 4 - Complete screen editing process from Lesson 3, and further review of experience with HEG measurement.
Individuals that own either Thought Technology's HEG Suite or the BFE's HEG Suite can benefit from this class recording.
